Warsh Tajwῑd

Below is a link to a pdf of a small publication about basic tajweed of the Riwayah of Imam Warsh, translated from the Spanish of the original Arabic which is indexed at the end of the official Algerian Mushaf. It is meant as a useful reference and should be used in conjunction with the instruction from a Hafidh of Qur’an. However it does open up many of those unfamiliar signs and conventions difficult for non-Arab speakers and indeed non-literate Warsh readers. The Arabic is in the Maghribi tradition and therefore some of the diacritic points vary, i.e. one dot above the letter for a ‘Qaf” and one dot below for a ‘Fa’.
